California reassesses a home at its purchase price. Enter a price and any special taxes to see an estimated bill, and how it could change as the assessed value grows.

In San Diego County, a purchase near $750K would carry roughly $8,628 a year in property tax at about 1.15%, or $719 a month, before any special taxes.

Varies by address. The county tax bill lists the exact charges.
Common in newer communities. Ask for the exact amount.
California’s exemption reduces the assessed value of a home you live in by $7,000. Use 0 for a second home or rental.
